I earned my bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University and my medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. After a brief time teaching high school science, I completed my adult psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, followed by a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). I remained at CHOP for several years, focusing on mood disorders and integrated care.

About Me

I have extensive experience working with youth facing complex mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders, and more. I am skilled in supporting LGBTQ and neurodiverse youth, families with complex dynamics, and individuals coping with suicidality or self-harm. In addition to my expertise in psychopharmacology, I am trained in various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and family therapy.

Philosophy

Hi, and welcome. I believe that meaningful psychiatric care begins with trust and connection. My goal is to create a space where you and your family feel safe, understood, and supported in sharing what brings you here. From there, we’ll work together to develop a treatment plan that’s evidence-based, aligned with your values, and considerate of your unique circumstances.  My communication style is warm, open, and collaborative. I encourage questions and value your input—it deepens our conversations and helps me better understand you and/or your child. I see our work as a partnership, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.

personal

I moved around a lot before settling down with my family in the Philadelphia suburbs. I have two young children, a dog, a cat, and two goldfish.  When I am not working, I am spending time with my family, building strength at the gym, or reading fiction.
